We are thrilled to introduce our esteemed guest speaker, Anna Nelson, Chair of Silver Fern Farms Co-operative. Along with her husband Blair (Munta) and their family, Anna operates a 1450-hectare sheep and beef breeding and finishing farm in Aria, King Country. Originally from Cheviot, Anna holds a Veterinary degree from Massey University. She currently serves as a catchment coordinator at King Country River Care and completed the Kellogg Rural Leaders programme in 2016.

Anna joined Silver Fern Farms Co-operative as a Board Appointed Director in 2021 and was elected as a Farmer Elected Director in 2023. In May 2024, following the Annual Meeting, Anna was appointed Chair of Silver Fern Farms Co-operative. Her extensive experience and leadership in the agricultural sector make her an inspiring figure for all attendees.

Agtech Alley presented by AusAgritech, NSW, DPI and AgTech Finder

As a first for Australian agricultural field days, Primex will present in partnership with NSW DPI, AgTech Finder and AusAgritech and collaborating industry, grower, and producer organisations, Agtech Alley, creating the Hub as home to an extensive schedule of workshops, demonstrations, panel discussions, networking events and an estimated 1500+ sqm of interactive trade displays attracting national and international interest.

A new addition to Primex Field Days in 2024 will be interactive presentations hosted in the Hub that will showcase the businesses that are driving innovation across the sector, and how innovative technologies can enhance productivity and profitability for even the smallest producers.

Agtech Alley located in the Business, Innovation and Agtech Hub will deliver practical advice to producers through hourly showcases and lunch and learn panel discussions. Learn about cutting-edge innovation and how you can apply the latest technology, be it remote sensors, connectivity, drones, or post-harvest solutions, to streamline on-farm operations.

Be sure to drop by the Hub at the end of the day for Networking & Knockoffs where you can have a casual chat with the technology providers and the farmers that use their products.

AIMER Vision Launch

Join us for the launch of AIMER Vision, pasture measurement on your smartphone!

The day will include guest speaker Mark Neal from DairyNZ on the importance of maximising profitability through pasture intake. This will be followed by a Q&A panel with AIMER users, and the opportunity to get hands-on with AIMER Vision.

Attendees will go in the draw for a free six-month subscription of AIMER products for your farm. Winner to be selected 21 September.

Tea and coffee from 10.30am, welcome at 11am. A light lunch will be served.
