Agritech New Zealand is excited to introduce George Kellerman to a New Zealand audience. George will be joining the high-profile delegation of leading global agritech thought leaders and investors, led by Arama Kukutai of Finistere Ventures, when they visit the country from 22 – 25 May.

Two weeks ago, that strong commitment to New Zealand’s agritech ecosystem became more public with the announcement of an investment into Tauranga-based Robotics Plus. It’s great to have George and some of his team in Tauranga for the ‘10 billion mouths’ conference.
As background, George a founding member of Yamaha Motor Ventures & Laboratory Silicon Valley where he serves as the Chief Operations Officer and General Partner.
Prior to joining YMVSV, George was a Managing Partner at Crystal Tech Fund, and prior to that he was a Managing Partner at 500 Startups where he oversaw finance, legal, and investor relations for a portfolio of over 750 companies and $120M in assets. George also led a number of investments in early stage technology companies, including Moj.io, Whill, ZBoard, Aquicore, uBiome, and Volta.
Before becoming an early stage investor, George served as a senior executive at companies such as Dell Japan, Experian Interactive, Yahoo Japan Corporation, and Yahoo!
George earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Hawaii and a J.D. from the UC Berkeley School of Law. George also served as a Combat Medic in the US Army Reserves and as a Firefighter & Rescue Crew Chief in the US Air Force.
