FIELDAYS – Women in Agri 2024

Tuesday, May 14th, 2024

Welcome to the third annual ‘Women in Agri’ fireside chat and networking session, proudly co-hosted by AgriTech New Zealand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade at Fieldays!

Get ready to connect, collaborate, and thrive with fellow female professionals in agriculture. Whether you’re a seasoned expert or just starting out, this event is your chance to gain insights from a fantastic guest speaker and expand your network in a supportive environment.

We are thrilled to introduce our esteemed guest speaker, Anna Nelson, Chair of Silver Fern Farms Co-operative. Along with her husband Blair (Munta) and their family, Anna operates a 1450-hectare sheep and beef breeding and finishing farm in Aria, King Country. Originally from Cheviot, Anna holds a Veterinary degree from Massey University. She currently serves as a catchment coordinator at King Country River Care and completed the Kellogg Rural Leaders programme in 2016.

Anna joined Silver Fern Farms Co-operative as a Board Appointed Director in 2021 and was elected as a Farmer Elected Director in 2023. In May 2024, following the Annual Meeting, Anna was appointed Chair of Silver Fern Farms Co-operative. Her extensive experience and leadership in the agricultural sector make her an inspiring figure for all attendees.

While our focus is on empowering women in agriculture, we welcome everyone who shares our passion for diversity and inclusion in the industry. Registration is free, but spots are limited, so don’t wait to secure your place!

Please note that while registration grants access to our networking session, entry into Fieldays requires a separate ticket.

Let’s come together to shape the future of agriculture. We can’t wait to see you there!
