Women in Agri: Grown from experience (real stories, real connections)

Join the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) and AgriTech New Zealand for a refreshed Women in Agri session designed for honest conversation and meaningful connection. Our event combines practical leadership insights with facilitated networking to help you meet a diverse range of peers across the agrifood ecosystem.

Featuring Maury Leyland-Penno (Co-Founder, Leaft Foods), our conversation will explore career navigation, leadership, innovation, and the realities of building impact-driven work across different stages of an agrifood career. Maury will share reflections on how relationships, networks and collaboration have played throughout her journey across consulting, corporate leadership and entrepreneurship. She will also share what she’s learned about taking risks, leading through change and building momentum over time.

New for 2026, you’ll also take part in structured, guided networking so you leave not just inspired, but with new relationships to support mentorship, partnerships and future opportunities.

Why attend?

  • Gain practical insights from a leading agrifood innovator
