Last week’s Agritech Unleashed Auckland event was a timely reminder of the momentum building across Aotearoa’s agritech sector and how much faster we move when we share what’s really working (and what isn’t).
You’ll have seen AgriTech New Zealand has refreshed our brand, aligned with the wider Tech New Zealand ecosystem update, and we’ve also launched a new AgriTech New Zealand Member Hub. The look and language may be new, but our purpose hasn’t changed: we’re here to help a confident, connected sector scale.
AgriTech New Zealand remains the national connector and trusted voice for the agritech ecosystem; reducing fragmentation, strengthening pathways to scale, and lifting the sector’s credibility with global partners, government and investors. Through a small number of high-impact initiatives, we steward collaboration, support market readiness, and help agritech deliver long-term prosperity for both our primary industries and the wider economy. If you’d like to learn more about the Member Hub, you can read more here→.
That same thinking sits at the heart of what we’re building next: connecting the people, places and practices shaping Aotearoa’s agritech future. Through Agritech Unleashed 2026, we’ll keep turning local insight into wider impact, surfacing lived experience in each region, and connecting those insights into shared national priorities and global opportunity.
Fieldays Innovation Awards – entries close this Friday!
If you’ve got a product, service, or solution worth showcasing, get your skates on and enter the Fieldays Innovation Awards before Friday. It’s one of the best ways to get seen at New Zealand’s biggest agricultural event.
And while you’re pencilling in Fieldays, save the date: Thursday 11 June from 2pm. We’re hosting a Global Agritech Connector event at Fieldays, supported by the UK Agritech Centre, bringing together agritech peers from around the world. Details to follow shortly.
Overseas events – where are you going?
We’re keen to build some fellow traveller connections ahead of this year’s overseas agritech events. If you’re considering or planning to attend events like Biological Summit, FutureAG, World Agritech Summit London, Thrive Global Impact Summit, Fruit Logistica, or EvokeAG 2027, please take 2 minutes to fill in our short survey. We’ll use it to connect members heading to the same place so you can share intel, coordinate meet-ups, and make warm introductions early. Share your details here→.
KiwiNet Research Commercialisation Awards 2026
Entries are now being accepted for this standout celebration of Aotearoa New Zealand’s research, science and innovation sector. The KiwiNet Research Commercialisation Awards recognise the people, teams and innovations taking research to the world and turning discovery into real-world impact. Save the date and join the celebrations on Thursday 8 October in Auckland.
Highlights: Agritech Unleashed Auckland
Last week we kicked off our 2026 Agritech Unleashed series in Auckland bringing the sector together for a practical conversation on what it takes to accelerate real scale from New Zealand.
We dug into how to raise capital without breaking the business, and heard real-world insights from founders and leaders who’ve done it.
