With closed borders, many New Zealand agritech businesses are finding either selling into export markets or implementing offshore market development plans, a real challenge at this time.

Agritech New Zealand and the Agritech Industry Transformation Plan (ITP) taskforce are very aware of this reality and have decided to accelerate plans to review and redevelop New Zealand’s Agritech Story.

Many of the core values contained in the current New Zealand Agritech Story, first reviewed 12 months ago at National Fieldays, remain absolutely valid. You can view the many great assets, collateral and background that were created to develop our Agritech Story last year here.

Today however, we want to learn at first hand businesses real life experiences and how we can help with a comprehensive, compelling and cohesive messaging strategy. New Zealand’s agritech sector continues to deliver great innovation and is adapting extremely well to the new environment in which we live. Getting that message out to offshore markets is absolutely critical.

I invite you to join futurist Dave Wild and myself at one of three workshops in Auckland, Hamilton and Lincoln next month. Your input into these workshops will help Agritech New Zealand re-design the Story to reflect the post COVID-19 environment in which we live. Understanding what you want and the collateral and assets you need will help drive the Story’s evolving creative brief.

There is no cost to attend and we hope that everyone connected to the sector can attend. Your input into this process is vital.
