Attend the first public viewing of the New Zealand Agritech Story at Agritech Unleashed. Reserve your (free) ticket here.

When I first began to explore the opportunity of supporting and promoting the New Zealand agritech sector, I became aware of an immediate and significant challenge. New Zealand did not possess a coherent and compelling agritech story.

I formed that view from my desk in Sunnyvale, CA back in 2015. I saw inbound agritech delegations from the likes of Israel & Holland regularly visit Silicon Valley. I had a pretty good idea of what they were about. The kiwis less so. We were universally nice, but the message wasn’t.

So late last year, Agritech New Zealand began to work with New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE) on addressing the issue. Since then,  I have been working with an amazing team – hat doffed particularly to Neil & Kenny at NZTE – and together we believe we have built a compelling and powerful story that we can take to the world.

At Agritech Unleashed, I am providing the first public preview of the New Zealand Agritech Story. (Spoiler: Minister David Parker is previewing the same, the previous evening to a select few). I will be joined on stage by three exciting early stage companies who are making their own mark on the world. They appear in the preview video and will share personal details of their own story.

The build process does not of course end at Fieldays. Agritech New Zealand and NZTE are committed to continue to develop the story with more case studies of creative and innovative kiwi agritech. The videos and collateral developed can be used by New Zealand agritech companies at no charge. It will all be ultimately uploaded to the NZ Story website.

The New Zealand Agritech Story session takes place in the Bledisloe Function Centre at National Fieldays on Thursday 13 June. It kicks off the day and runs from 9.00am – 9.45am. The good news is that entry is free but you must have pre-registered a ticket. That’s a simple process. Simply log onto the Agritech Unleashed ticketing system here and the ticket is yours:

I look forward to seeing you there!
